Glaucous Gull at Rainham

I popped down to Rainham today hoping to find my first Common Sandpiper of the year which didn't materialise but whilst there I located the juvenile Glaucous Gull on the rocks to the left of the barges. It sat there for about half an hour before returning to the tip to feed.

Also on the mud was a rather odd looking first winter Black-headed Gull.

Weird...
Year list remains at 178 and one short of my best ever February total.
Chasing down 190 to beat the best ever March total now.....all part of the joy of year listing.
