Black Stork "On the list"

Finally I've added Black Stork to my life list!

Black Stock over Little Common LIFER!!
My good lady wanted a road trip so where better than heading down to East Sussex and with us leaving at around 7.45am we arrived on site at Little Common recreational ground just in time to get distant views as the Black Stork came up over the trees and drifted low for a moment before dropping out of view. An hour passed before the bird showed again this time riding the thermals to drift higher and again out of view.
I grabbed a few record shots and we left happy to have finally caught up with this particular bird leaving behind a small twitch about twenty people strong.

Wheatear

Next stop was Dunge where we bagged good but distant views of Cattle Egret and Red-backed Shrike along with a few Whinchat, Wheatear and Yellow Wags.

A brief stop at Elmley was disappointing with just a couple of fly over Common Buzzard and Marsh Harrier and this weeks post bird was a Cormorant which obviously sat in the shadows of last weeks Merlin but still had me pulling the camera out for it. Capel Fleet again delivered Marsh Harrier and Buzzard and also had several Wheatear but sadly the Monty had moved on.

Year list now 255  Life list now 362

Oh and last night I stopped at Abberton and enjoyed Osprey along with TWO Great White Egrets.
